our story

Adam’s Nursery began as a dream shared by three brothers when Adam was just 14. What started with a few plants sold at local flea markets and mowing neighborhood lawns has grown into a full-service garden center and complete landscaping company. Today, each brother brings his unique expertise to the business, making Adam’s Nursery a true family operation.

Adam manages the overall operations and personally hand-draws landscape designs for clients. Stephen brings each design to life with precision and care, ensuring every project exceeds expectations. David oversees the garden center and manages all Old Hickory building and metal shed sales, always ready to share his knowledge and his college sports predictions with both new and returning customers.

Family is at the heart of everything we do. You might catch Adam’s twin boys playing in the water fountains, David’s daughters coloring in the back office, or Adam’s wife Jennifer introducing new treasures in the gift shop or creatively rearranging the displays.

    Adam is the Owner and Lead Landscape Designer at Adam’s Nursery, where passion, creativity, and family roots come together in every project. What began as a teenage dream, selling plants at flea markets and mowing neighborhood lawns, has grown into a thriving full service garden center and landscaping company under his leadership.

    Adam oversees the day to day operations while bringing each client’s vision to life through his signature hand drawn landscape designs. Known for his attention to detail and personalized approach, he creates outdoor spaces that are both functional and beautifully tailored to each home.

    AMBER TAYLOR

    LEAD LANDSCAPE DESIGNER

    A Barnwell, South Carolina native, brings more than 20 years of experience in the green industry. As Lead Landscape Designer at Adam’s Nursery & Landscaping, she specializes in landscape design and client consultations, creating outdoor spaces that are both beautiful and designed to thrive long term.

    Known for her deep plant knowledge, Amber carefully selects varieties that perform well in our local climate and soil conditions. She considers sun exposure, drainage, maintenance needs, and long-term growth to ensure every landscape looks great not just on day one, but for years to come.

    For the past eight years, Amber has designed landscapes for many prominent homes throughout Aiken, including Woodside Plantation, Cedar Creek, and Three Runs Plantation. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time gardening at home with her husband, Marty.

    With more than 20 years of experience in landscape design, Matthew creates outdoor spaces that are both beautiful and functional. His work focuses on thoughtful planning, carefully selected plants, and designs that feel natural, welcoming, and built to last.

    Outside of work, Matthew is a national champion musician, a devoted husband, and a proud father of six. Inspired by his family and the outdoors, he brings creativity, care, and passion to every project—designing spaces where people can relax, gather, and enjoy nature.
