Adam’s Nursery began as a shared dream between three brothers when Adam was just 14 years old. What started with selling plants at local flea markets and mowing neighborhood lawns has grown into a full-service garden center and landscaping company built on craftsmanship, care, and community.

Today, the business is led by the three brothers, each bringing their own expertise. Adam oversees operations and leads custom landscape design, personally hand-drawing plans tailored to each client. Stephen brings those designs to life through expert installation and execution. David manages the garden center and oversees the buildings center, creating a welcoming, knowledgeable customer experience.

At its core, Adam’s Nursery remains a family-run business, with multiple generations contributing to the day to day operations. Every part of the business reflects a commitment to quality, integrity, and genuine care for every customer we serve.

    ADAM ALTMAN

    OWNER + LEAD LANDSCAPE DESIGNER

    Adam is the Owner and Lead Landscape Designer at Adam’s Nursery, where passion, creativity, and family roots come together in every project. What began as a teenage dream, selling plants at flea markets and mowing neighborhood lawns, has grown into a thriving full service garden center and landscaping company under his leadership.

    Adam oversees the day to day operations while bringing each client’s vision to life through his signature hand drawn landscape designs. Known for his attention to detail and personalized approach, he creates outdoor spaces that are both functional and beautifully tailored to each home.

    AMBER TAYLOR

    LEAD LANDSCAPE DESIGNER

    A Barnwell, South Carolina native with over 20 years of experience in the green industry, she serves as Lead Landscape Designer at Adam’s Nursery & Landscaping, specializing in landscape design and client consultations that create beautiful, long-lasting outdoor spaces.

    With extensive plant knowledge, she selects varieties suited to local climate and soil conditions while carefully considering sun exposure, drainage, maintenance, and long-term growth. For the past eight years, she has designed landscapes for prominent homes throughout Aiken, including Woodside Plantation, Cedar Creek, and Three Runs Plantation.

    LANDSCAPE DESIGNER

    With more than 20 years of experience in landscape design, Matthew creates outdoor spaces that are both beautiful and functional. His work focuses on thoughtful planning, carefully selected plants, and designs that feel natural, welcoming, and built to last.

    Outside of work, Matthew is a national champion musician, a devoted husband, and a proud father of six. Inspired by his family and the outdoors, he brings creativity, care, and passion to every project—designing spaces where people can relax, gather, and enjoy nature.

  • Eli McCoy

    LANDSCAPE INSTALLATION, IRRIGATION & SOD SPECIALIST

    Eli is a valued member of the Adam’s Nursery & Landscaping team, specializing in landscape installation, irrigation systems, and sod installation. He recently earned his South Carolina Certified Landscape Professional certification through Clemson Extension’s continuing education program, demonstrating his commitment to professional growth and excellence in the green industry.

    A true plant enthusiast, Eli’s passion for horticulture extends beyond the workday. In his spare time, he enjoys caring for a wide variety of plants and is especially known for rescuing struggling plants and restoring them to health. His extensive plant knowledge, attention to detail, and dedication to quality help ensure every project is installed to the highest standards.

    Whether he is installing a new landscape, irrigation system, or lawn, Eli takes pride in creating outdoor spaces that thrive for years to come. His strong work ethic, positive attitude, and commitment to customer satisfaction make him an important part of our team, and we are proud to have him representing Adam’s Nursery & Landscaping

    LEAD LANDSCAPE INSTALLATION SPECIALIST

    Taylor has been a valued member of the Adam’s Nursery & Landscaping team for more than five years. Although he entered the green industry with little prior experience, he has developed into one of our most knowledgeable and skilled team members through hard work, dedication, and a commitment to continuous learning.


    As our Lead Landscape Installation Specialist, Taylor oversees the crew responsible for landscaping new construction homes and other installation projects. Under his leadership, the team installs irrigation systems, drainage solutions, sod, seed, trees, shrubs, and low-voltage landscape lighting, helping bring outdoor spaces to life from the ground up.


    Taylor recently earned his South Carolina Certified Landscape Professional certification through Clemson Extension’s continuing education program, further demonstrating his commitment to excellence in the landscape industry.


    A quiet leader, Taylor leads his team by example. His strong work ethic, attention to detail, and willingness to do whatever it takes to get the job done have earned the respect of both his coworkers and our clients. When he’s not at work, Taylor enjoys spending time with his family.


    His experience, leadership, and dedication to quality make him an important part of the Adam’s Nursery & Landscaping team.

    Waylon is a dedicated member of the Adam’s Nursery & Landscaping team and has been helping create beautiful outdoor spaces for our clients for over a year. As part of our landscape installation team, he assists with the installation of plants, mulch, sod, and other landscape features that enhance the beauty and functionality of our customers’ properties.

    Committed to professional growth and excellence in the green industry, Waylon recently earned his South Carolina Certified Landscape Professional certification through Clemson Extension’s continuing education program. This achievement reflects his dedication to expanding his knowledge and delivering quality workmanship on every project.
